This man-made lake in central SC has just over 600 miles of shoreline. the earthen dam was built in the early 1930s as a hydro-electric dam. My granddaddy was a civil engineer who helped build the towers and intake system for the water to flow to the electric generators. It's rare to see the 5 towers AND the gondola system from the dam in a single shot. I shot two pictures at sunset, then stitched them together in Photoshop CS5 to make this panoramic shot. The lake was smooth and flat, so everything was reflecting beautifully.
I shot this with a Canon EOS 6D at f:8, at 1/125 sec. at ISO 800 at 24mm with a 24-105 Canon lens. Some shadow and contrast adjustments were done in Photoshop CS5.
