The Appalachian Trail has become one of my favorite places to go hike and enjoy the natural beauty around me. I live an hour from the trail, so its pretty easy for me to get here, which is very often. The Roan Highlands offer views that are hard to beat, especially with the mountains being a large grassy bald. This shot is of the sunrise as you come down Jane Bald at around 6 a.m.
