We were at Arches National Park in Utah on a cloudy, rainy day and photo ops were everywhere. I stopped to watch the sun dance across the horizon then all of a sudden this beam made the scene. I reeled off about five shots before the hole closed up.
I was using a Nikon D200 with a 35-70mm 2.8 Nikon lens. Exposure was f7.1 and shutter priority.
