A long walk along the frozen Lake Superior shoreline is bitterly cold but offers wondrous views of ice and red rock formations. The lone hiker offers evidence of the magnitude of the display. This photograph was made in February, 2014. Unfortunately, El Nino prevented a 2015 return adventure.

Canon EOS 7D with a Tamron 17-50 wide angle zoom at 17mm., aperture priority (f11), ISO 400 at 1/1000 sec.
