I was spending a day in Chicago, roaming the streets, and I came across this man and so I started to take some pictures. I took a few from a good distance, and then decided that I needed to get closer. After only two shots or so, a police officer approached him and told him that he needed to stop playing! He gracefully complied and started putting his things away, and it was then that I realized he had no legs. So I picked up my camera once more, composed a shot and then he glanced at the camera and flashes this hand sign. Immediately, I knew this was the moment I had to take the picture. There was a sense that he wasn't defeated and was going to keep rocking on, no matter how many times he's been told to stop doing what he loves.
Shot with a Canon F1, Ilford Pan-F 50 film, and a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. I believe the settings were at 1.8 at 1/2000 sec.
