THROUGH A WINDOW IN BODIE
I was struck by the light as I gazed into this room through a dusty window. Through the opposite window, I could see the hills and another long-abandoned cabin in the distance. Shooting in Bodie State Park in the Eastern Sierra is always a pleasure. Bodie is the best preserved ghost town in California. Once a thriving gold mining town with 10,000 residents in 1879, it now sits quiet, keeping it's memories to itself and slowly decaying. It is a photographer's dream!
To capture the proper exposure in both the room and through the opposite window, I decided to capture this image in HDR (3 shots), hand-held.
