Shortly after I set up for this shot on Sentinel Dome, a plein air painter parked right in front of me. My irritation changed to pleasure as I shifted my tripod left and noticed the improved composition with the foreground rocks.

This is a composite of three images processed in Photomatix Pro.
Fujifilm XE1, 18-55 lens at 20mm (30mm on the XE1 sensor), f8, ISO 200, exposure bracketed around 1/8th.
