A high shooting position relative to the tree and shallow depth of field with a telephoto lens wide open allowed the distant surface of the lake to become a colorful out of focus background. Image was made just after sunrise to capture the reflections of the autumn trees on the far bank. Canon T3i and Tamron 70-300 SP lens at 154 mm.
