I always try to compose photos looking through the eyes of painters. During our recent trip to Monhregan Island we stopped at the Barnicle Cafe and I spotted a composition that was pure Edward Hopper, with respect to subject matter, light, and composition. I was able to get only one shot, hand held, before other patrons came in and sat down to eat. But I was pleased to capture the kind of light that one sees in Edward Hopper paintings.
