Hello Ian,
what a nice available light shot. I don't really see how somebody could just give three stars for the image. A very small criticism - I would crop the sides a bit (definitely the lamp on the right)as to make the whole image more rectangular and thus concentrate more on the lines leading into the picture along the lady. Maybe you could also do something about the "burnt out" spot on the pillow (crop or darken)?
