This photo was taken after an early morning snow storm had cleared. I had intended to walk into a field near a lake but upon crossing a stream noticed the swan.
I stopped, quickly set up my tripod as he slowly swam up to the footbridge. He made a turn and slowly swam back down stream as I got off a couple of shots.
The image was taken with a Panasonic FZ50 camera on a Slix Tripod. Focal length was 12.6mm (=60mm). It was shot in auto-mode, manual white balance, ISO 100, 1/20 sec. at F 6.3.
There were minor correction done in Photoshop CS6 for levels, shadow/highlights and saturation to remove some of the blue.
