Built in 1915, this theaters Architecture, a native to this city, designed this theater to closely modeled on London's West End Theater, later known as the Rialto, located near Leicester Square with shared features like the interior's rich ornamental plaster work in a Louis XIV style.H also went on to design 5 others theaters in this city. When purchased by owners of another local theater in 1952 its doors were shut and sealed.It was purchased again 19 1956 showing classic movies and foreign films until it closed again in the mid 1970's.Despite several attempts to reuse the building, this theater shut down for good in 1998 and sat abandoned and neglected until remodeling by the owner with funding from city in hopes to bring it back to life and its glorious splend0r for local film festivls
