This overlook was hard to find. I had seen it from Google Earth and had to go there. It took two separate trips, driving down every forest service road to find it. The view was overwhelming and incredibly beautiful. The trail below winds serpentine past the towering sandstone cliffs crossing the creek many times. Fall is the best time to hike the canyon and see the variety of trees turning red, orange and yellow. This entire area may be closed for some time due to the Slide Fire in June 2014 that started north of Slide Rock Park and moved up the rim, through the West Fork and up onto Harding Point before it was stopped.
