This was shot at Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo in Tupelo, MS. I've rarely been as moved as I was when we pulled up into the pasture with these beautiful bison. They were massive, gorgeous and unbelievably gentle. Touching one of these almost extinct creatures was one of the most extraordinary things I have ever done. This was shot with a Canon 5D Mark III. The lens was an EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II USM at f/11.0, 1/200 seconds, ISO 200.
