Trial island which was manned until 2009 before being automated. In the 1800s sailors would depart from Vancouver island and navigate the treacherous waters surrounding Trial island as part of their seamanship. Located in Juan de Fuca strait, between the USA and Canada, the Olympic mountains in the background dwarfing the island.
