This was the first time I had used a point-and-shoot camera! Without my cumbersome DSLR, I was able to capture this photo very quickly.

I was in Costa Rica on a river excursion when a group of ibises flew across and settled in a tree on the opposite side of the river. Because we were cautioned not to take an expensive camera on this trip, I purchased a Canon point-and-shoot for this trip; I aimed it in the general direction where I thought the birds had landed. Much to my surprise, this photo was the result!
