This is a stream flowing through the Wekiva River Buffer Conservation Area. The red effect is the tannin stained water flowing over the white sand. The complimentary colors are created in reflections of the sky and the palmettos from the surface of the stream. Shot with a Nikon D300S, 105 mm macro, shot at ISO 1250 at f/2.8 and 1/800 seconds. The shot was hand held, I had to get below the level of the flora blanketing the stream.
