On a misty morning photo walk along a marsh near our home I was startled by this bird that launched out of the reeds as I walked by. With my wits in check I started to click away hoping to get it in flight. What resulted was a dreamy sillouette with just a sense of the water behind and the reeds in the foreground. This was one picture where I was fine without super sharp resolution and the faded colors on the image surprised me in a good way. Canon EOS T6s, Tamron 100-400mm, ISO500, 100mm, f5, 1/1600s.
