I made this image from atop the Pinnacle trail in Craggy Gardens off of Blue Ridge Parkway. It was my first visit there and the view was just as wonderful as I had read about. As the sun began to set, it became clear that these nice mountain rolls would be the perfect foreground for the coming color show. This is one of many compositions that I took that evening.
