While I have photographed New York City’s 59th Street Bridge many times, this day was different. I hadn’t set out to capture the bridge; I had another view of the East River in mind. Just before I started to pack up my gear, I turned around and saw a composition that featured part of the bridge framing a magical patch of pink-hued light as sunset was dissolving into night. As many times before, I realized my day wasn’t quite done. Nikon D7100, 80mm, f8, 1/200
