The sun was rising over a mountain ridge one winter morning, silhouetting the bare trees on the ridge (burned 7 years earlier in a wildfire) and dramatically painting the clouds behind. The drama is natural, as I did almost no adjustment to the photo and then cropped and printed it for an 8x20 frame.

I shot this with a Canon EOS 50D camera and an EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. My settings were 1/8000; f/20; ISO 100; 200mm.
