Sunrise @ Mono Lake, CA. Taken around 5:30 am on a very cold morning Sept 2016 just before the sun actually started to rise above the horizon. I was mainly shooting fall colors around the Eastern Sierras but had heard about a spot at Mono Lake that one could get some great sunrise's. So I got up really early took the long drive down a very rough dirt road not exactly knowing where I was going. Once I arrived at what I thought was the correct location I then walked about 3/4 mile through a really wet and muddy area, set up in the dark and it turned out to be work it.

Was using a Canon EOS 5DS R, Sigma 24-70mm lens, Induro tripod. Lens was set at 51mm, ISO 3200 at f/8 and 1/20 sec. Took a couple test shots to get what I was wanting.
