I was in NYC for my brother-in-law's running of the 2018 New York Marathon, staying near the Queensboro Bridge, AKA the 59th Street Bridge. It's a remarkable structure, built over 100 years ago, looming over the neighborhoods on either side of the river with sheer mass and stateliness. I got up early to snap this shot, and just happened to position myself where the sun would rise between the legs of the pier at the far end. When I saw my luck, I was indeed feelin' groovy. Taken with my Nikon D7100 and Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens. Settings: f/8, 1/500 second, ISO 1600.
