There is a very brief window for this golden light before sunset and these pictures work best with light wind and still water. The problem is that the boats all drift in those conditions. This shot taken in The Haven off Rock Hall, MD had to wait until a slight wind and the current swung that boats all in the same direction. They only stayed this way briefly and drifted back to a random arrangement right after I took the shot
