This wood duck was resting on a nesting box when the European starling suddenly appeared. The wood duck promptly flew away, and the European starling then entered the nesting box. I photographed this image with a Canon EOS 5DS, Canon EF 500mm f4L, Canon 1.4x extender, f/6.3, 1/1000 second, 1250 ISO. I used Nik Viveza 2 to brighten both birds.
