This building, an icon of the "fascist" architecture, was designed after the original Colosseum. Built in 1938 in Rome on a site picked by Mussolini himself, it was intended to celebrate the Imperial Roman heritage. Nicknamed "Colosseo Quadrato" (square Colosseum), it is higher than the Colosseum (196 feet). The building is presently rented to the luxury group Fendi .
