It was my first week in Alaska and my second time seeing the Aurora Borealis, though I had never seen any other color but green from first time. I remember thinking I was going to lose my fingers to frostbite as I practically swam through snow in the negatives to set up my tripod in time. It all happened so fast, I barely got to see them outside the lens of a camera. But I think this shot was worth it.
