The North American Great Blue Heron is a sacred creature of the Shawnee and Miami peoples. This one was contemplating matters of great spiritual importance when I stalked and captured him along the banks of Acton Lake at Hueston Woods State Park in Ohio.
The shutter click on my Canon 1300D sent him into flight with great laborored flaps of bluish grey wings.
This was shot using a Canon EF 80-300mm lens at f/5.6 and ISO 400. The shutter speed was 1/125 at 300mm
I tweaked the hue in LR HSL setting to enhance the blue of the Heron
