This is a photo of a yearling Doe picking bugs from her two month old little sister. The mother was standing just out of camera frame. Whitetail deer form family units and it is not uncommon for several generations of Does to be seen together. Nikon D300S, Sigma 135-400 APO, 400mm, f7.1 @ 1/200, -0.3EV, on a Tamron monopod. Photographed at the Pawnee Prairie Nature Center in Wichita, Kansas. Notice the horsefly on the big sister's nose. It was sitting on her nose the whole time I was photographing her.
