"Sealed:" Bisti Badlands, New Mexico, is full of amazing formations, made from eroding layers of sediment, primarily consisting of sandstone, limestone, and ash. One of the formations is known as "The Seal," which is hopefully evident in this image (the spanning wing-like structure toward the top, in case you need a hint). Some of the structures are very fragile, especially because of the ash layers, and as I looked around, I wondered how long they would last before time and weather morphed them into yet other figures or even completely washed them away. Nikon D810, 14-24 lens @ 14mm, 1/125 seconds, f/16, ISO 64, handheld.
