I took this image using a Ronkinon 85mm Prime-manual lens with two extension tubes 31 & 21mm in natural light. I then edited the file in Lightroom and Photoshop. I used masking to create bokeh to direct the viewer’s eye to the roses center by creating a blurred version of the image on a layer on top of the focused layer. Then I masked out the center of the blurred layer to reveal the sharp layer underneath. The effect is quite stunning which give this rose a soft velvet look.
