While visiting the Oklahoma City Zoo in April of 2013 I photographed a lot of birds in the aviary. I captured the pheasant with my Nikon D300 and Nikkor 70-300 zoom f4.6-5.6 G AF-S VR lens set at 1/1500 and f6.7 ISO 400. I had the lens extended out to 300mm and shot it hand held.
