I hiked out to the Kalapana Lava flow like I do several times a week. This time some bad weather was moving in and it poured like crazy for several hours. When the rain finally let go a bit, this river of lava just opened up and made its way down a hill, creating the ring-like river. Despite the bad weather and pouring rain, it was an amazing and magical day out at the flow and I enjoyed it a lot.
