This photo was taken on a hot day at the Rocky Mount, N. C. train depot.
It was taken with a Nikon D300 with a 300mm zoom lens. Shutter speed was1/400 sec, aperture was f/10, ISO was 200. I did not realize what I had until I was working on the photo. The edges were sharp. The effect was caused by heat radiating up from the ground, thus blurring the image.
I cropped the image to retain only the blurred image.
