This photo was taken in our back yard with purposeful seeds layered down for the opportunity. When I used a bird identifier app to determine what type of bird it was, it first came back with the answer 'a penguin'. Knowing this not to be the case I showed the pic to my spouse and she goes ... Oh that's a junco ... so I proceeded to try a different view of the bird in the app and sure enough, a 'dark-eyed junco' was the result. I kinda like the thought of a penguin in outer back yard though. LoL
The picture was taken with a Canon R7, Tamron 100-400 f4.5-6.3 DI VC USD, ISO2000, 366mm, f7.1, 1/2500s. What I like most of the picture is the calm expression on the face of the 'penguin', I mean junco content to stay awhile.
