To challenge myself with this photo, I attempted to do a pour and splash shot simultaneously. I used window light as my main light source and a silver reflector to fill in the shadows. When I first started setting up, the light was perfect. The sun however didn't want to cooperate. The light, of course kept moving and changing. As a result, I added a small light as a second light source on the glasses.
It was a messy photo shoot and took lots of shots to get a few photos I liked. There was a lot of mopping up of splash-overs, so I was sure to have paper towels, several clean glasses and used white gloves to keep fingerprints off the glassware. It was a good learning curve for my photography.
I shot with Nikon D3200 camera and a Tamron 18-270mm lens @ 32mm. In post production in Photoshop I removed some of the over splash for a cleaner looking photo and adjusted exposure slightly.
