I shot this right after a good rain storm near Natchitoches, LA.
Was driving to a river to shoot, and saw the hawk approaching. You can see my tire tracks, as I backed up quickly in order to catch the bird in the shot! Shot with Nikon D610 at f11, 1/250sec, ISO 200. Edited to monochrome, added contrast, and a few other tweaks in Photoshop CC.
