The sunset tonight just north of Prescott in Williamson Valley treated us to an isolated developing thunderstorm complete with double rainbows and lightning! I was actually detained at an appointment in Williamson Valley longer than I had hoped, and it left me wondering where I could go in time to catch the sunset. I didn't know the best vantage points out this way, but kept looking for something that offered a view to the west, when I pulled off onto a side road and started realizing there was something formulating facing away from the sunset. Just in the nick of time, I pulled my car over and started shooting, hoping to catch the colorful clouds and double rainbow. The lightning was sheer luck as I pressed the shutter just as it happened-- what a bonus!
