I am not a pro photography but I love landscape photography. I'm always trying to learn new techniques for taking wonderful landscape photographs. I feel pretty lucky to have caught this scene at sunrise in the Ft.Churchill area of Nevada. So of course I took several photo's trying to get the right (perfect) camera settings and composition. While processing this photograph in Lightroom (5) I had converted the raw image to B&W. My wife made the comment that she actually liked the photograph in B&W, which surprised me; but I had to agreed since I'm a big fan of Ansel Adams. Picture was converted to B&W with some editing in Lightroom 5. Photo taken with a Nikon D800E with a Nikon 24-70mm lens. Settings: ISO 100, f/16 at 1/50 sec. Johnny L. Smith.
