My husband and I were on a trip to San Antonio, TX one year and Spring was already underway there. I was fortunate to see this Great White Egret in the process of nest building in earnest and was happy to capture this moment when he had just plucked a piece of nest building material from the water.

I was shooting with a new toy, the Canon PowerShot G3X.
