After a tough hike in the middle of the Utah summer, I finally reached the top where Sundial peak sits near Lake Blanche. I fell asleep under the stars with a space blanket and my alarm woke me close to midnight and I was able to capture the milky way just as it was near Sundial peak. I've always wanted to do a picture where I pointed my flashlight towards the milky way. The tough hike had been worth it and it gave me a sense of accomplishment and a greater appreciation of the great outdoors.
