This elaborate wrought iron gate was photographed from the inside of a restored church in Siracusa, Sicily. I used a Nikon D7000 with a Nikkor 16-85 mm VR lens at 16 mm. The exposure was f/9 and 1/500 sec. The buildings in the background suggest that this is the same doorway that I photographed several years earlier before the restoration was completed. That earlier photo (submitted on Dec. 13) must have been taken at a further distance, at a slightly different angle, and with a longer focal length setting, so it looks quite different.
