Following a successful night of hunting and eating in Botswana, this female lion was in no mood to be playful with young cubs in her extended family and left her pride to climb this tree in order to be alone. I encountered her at approximately 7:00 am and acquired this photo using a Canon Power Shot S70 (Iso of 200, 1/60 sec, f/5.3 at focal length of 20.7mm) from a distance of about 10 feet while in an open vehicle. She did not seem to appreciate her early morning visitors!
