Les Deux Magots (“two fanciful Asian figurines”) is a famous café in the Saint-Germain-des-Pres area of Paris. At one time, it was a popular rendezvous spot for writers and artists (e.g., Sartre, Hemingway, Camus, Brecht, Picasso, Leger). Today, it is a well-known tourist destination and a subject for graphic artists having many different styles. My photograph was taken with a Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 18-200 mm VR lens at 18 mm while strolling along Boulevard Saint Germain a few summers ago. Exposure was f/11 and 1/180 sec (ISO 400). Plug-ins from Topaz, Alien Skin, and OnOne were used in Photoshop to give the original image an impressionistic lithograph appearance. Photographed by Irwin H. Segel, Davis, California.
