Dholes play an important role as apex predators in forest ecosystems. Besides the tiger, the Dhole is the only large carnivore in India that is under the IUCN 'Endangered' category. I was watching the pack searching for something and the leader seamlessly scan its surroundings. The way its ears raised with attention and gaze fixed, it was a bliss to shoot their closeup, us being only 6 to 7 feet away! The primary challenge behind the shot was low light and the inability to lift up the shutter speed, while as we all know Dholes are quite not static.
