Feb 2 2013 South East side island of Hawaii. I got to go out with my pal "Lava Roy" in his boat to view the ocean entry of the Kilauea lava flow. This was the largest cliff with the most dripping lava. I was glad there was a person up on top for scale and human element. Staying up wind of the plume is a must. Shot from a boat, hand held, 1/640 sec f2.8 70-200 nikkor lens at 70mm ISO 2000 raw capture. As of July 2016, the lava flow has continued it's progress to the ocean after being quiet since 2013.
