I was intrigued by this final leaf refusing to give in to the inevitable (was Charlie Brown waiting?). On a bright sunny fall day, the lighting was perfect to bring in the translucent nature of the leaf with the shadows shown through it caused by the strong back lighting. Interestingly, several people who have viewed the image thought at first that it was a bird sitting on the limb--an interesting interpretation.
