A local raptor rescue group called Ohio Nature Education takes in birds of prey (and many other animals) that are unable to survive in the wild. Some of them are rehabilitated and released, while some are not rehabilitatable and become ambassadors for the group. This American Kestrel is one of the residents of the rescue, and so is a captive bird.
