Howling at the moon? More like a high-pitched screech, but I've seen Bald Eagles do this before, most recently as a greeting to a returning mate. I was in the wetlands watching for herons when this Bald Eagle perched on this dead tree and began vocalizing. Surprised me when I first saw an eagle point straight up during its crying. Never did see this eagle's mate. Hope she turned up later!
Used my Canon 5D Mark IV, 400mm, with exposure at: ISO 2,000, f/5.6, and 1/2,000.

Howling at the moon! (Except it was daytime, and eagles don't howl:)
