While awaiting cataract surgery, I was attempting to photograph at a local Riparian. I noticed bees flying around these flowers. Bringing my camera to my eye, i could not see clearly to see if the image was in focus. I put my trust in the auto focus and when a bee flew into the frame, I fired off a shot. Upon returning home and loading the image onto the computer, this is what the camera had captured. The image was cropped in Elements 11, but very little else was done.
The camera used was a Nikon D700 with a Sigma 120-400mm lens. Exposure was 1/320 sec. at f9, ISO was 400.
